Okay, the gas prices are going up again. Dinks me off. I heard one of the cable news stations speculating on oil going up to $150 a barrel sometime in the near future. I'm getting myself a bike with a seat on the back for the smallest one. Don't know where all I'd go on that bike with 5 children, but I'm getting one.
It IS greed, plain and simple. If people want the economy to grow then people are going to have to have good paying jobs better than McDonald's or something (there is nothing wrong with McDonalds and all, but there should be factory jobs, technology jobs, etc. that pay better). The "stimulus" (ugh I'm so tired of all the stimulus talk) isn't going to do anything except put us more in debt. I'm sure a few extra dollars a week is going to make everyone go out and spend money like a drunken sailor.... not!
Agreed. The stock market is going back up too, and I think that the oil companies think that oil should go up too. I see the near future and it doesn't look good. I see the stock market coming back around, prices of goods and services going up, and still no jobs. Then everyone will be worse off than they are now. People will start getting irate and rioting, looting, etc... I think it's coming. Sorry, I don't mean to sound all doom and gloom or anything.
It could very well be coming. Hopefully it isn't, but I have my doubts.
Instead of a regular bike get a 2 or more person bike.
I think the oil companies should also be blamed (since everyone likes to blame everyone else) for screwing up the economy. I also hope that people remember when oil prices were high and continue buying fuel efficient vehicles and taking less trips. If there is little demand then they can't use that excuse for high prices (although they will still have natural disasters, fighting, etc. to use)

So why did gas go up again? I didn't read about any hurricanes, earthquakes, major floods, or anything like that. It's greed, just basic greed. That's why our country is in the terrible shape it's in, just basic greed.
Glad to be here!
